Ayma Terms of Service

DRAFT — pending legal review. Not final.

Last updated: 2026-09-19 Effective date: [TODO: effective date]

Welcome to Ayma. These Terms are a plain-language summary of the agreement between you and Ayma. By creating an account or continuing to use the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Ayma.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail what we collect and why.

Ayma, operated by Justabot LLC

Automatic analysis of your photos and public information

To build your profile and to improve the quality of the matches we suggest, Ayma automatically analyses:

  • Photos you upload — including facial analysis and physique (body) analysis of the photos you add to your profile, send in chat, send in direct messages, or import from a connected account such as Instagram.
  • Information about you that is publicly available online — Ayma performs a web search for your name and reads what it finds on the open web (for example professional pages, social profiles, news, personal sites).

This analysis is always and only about you, the account holder — your own photos and your own name. Ayma does not run this automatic analysis on other people, on your matches, or on anyone you are talking to.

The results are used by Ayma to understand you better and to match you more accurately. They are kept in Ayma's own working memory and are not shown in your visible profile unless you ask for them — for example by opening a facial or physique report, or by asking Ayma to look you up on the web. When you ask, that result is added to your profile story; until then it stays private to Ayma.

You cannot turn this analysis off while you use Ayma. It is a core part of how the service works. If you do not want your photos and public information analysed in this way, please do not use Ayma. You can delete your account at any time, which removes this data as described below.

The analysis is generated by AI. It can be wrong, incomplete, or unflattering, and it is not a professional assessment of your health, appearance, character, or anything else. Treat it as a rough starting point, not a fact about you.

Connecting Google (Gmail, Calendar)

You can choose to connect a Google account so Ayma can learn real facts about you instead of only learning from conversation. This is optional and off by default — nothing is read from Google unless you connect an account, and you see what will be accessed before you approve it in Google's own consent screen.

If you connect, Ayma requests read-only access to:

  • Gmail — recent message subjects and senders for a bounded recent window of messages, plus the plain-text body of a small number of those messages. Ayma skips senders on an exclude list that starts with major banks, payment processors, and government/tax domains, and which we can extend at any time.
  • Google Calendar — recent and upcoming event titles and how many people are on each. Ayma does not read attendee identities or event descriptions.

(Ayma previously also requested a count of your recent Google Photos activity, never the photos themselves. That has been removed — Google no longer lets a third-party app like Ayma read a user's existing photo library. You can still add photos to Ayma directly, as described above.)

Ayma only ever looks at a bounded, recent window of this data — never your full history — and does not store your emails or calendar events. An AI pass reads what was pulled, once, and distills a short set of facts about you (for example "travels often for work" or "close with family") into your private AI notes, the same working memory described above. Those notes default to private to you — not shown on your public profile — and are never shown to your matches unless you choose to move them there. The underlying content pulled from Google is discarded after that pass; only the distilled facts remain.

You can disconnect a connected Google account at any time from Profile settings. Disconnecting revokes Ayma's access with Google immediately and stops any further reads; facts Ayma already learned stay in your notes, the same as anything else you've told Ayma, unless you edit or remove them yourself.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Ayma. Ayma is not for anyone under 18, and we will close accounts we learn belong to minors.
  • You sign in through Firebase Authentication using your phone number, a Google account, or an Apple account. Keep that login method secure; you are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
  • Give accurate information about yourself and keep it reasonably current. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your age, identity, or relationship intentions.
  • One person, one account. Do not sell, share, or transfer your account.
  • You keep ownership of the photos and text you add. You give Ayma permission to store, display, and process that content to operate the service (including the analysis and matching described above) and to show it to other users where you have chosen to make it visible.
  • You may not use Ayma to harass, threaten, deceive, defraud, or harm other people; to post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that you do not have the right to share; to solicit money; to scrape or bulk-collect other users' data; or to break the law.
  • We may warn, limit, suspend, or permanently close an account that breaks these Terms, that puts other users at risk, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, we will tell you why.
  • Ayma is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and useful, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will find you a match. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited.

Safety

Ayma is a dating product. Using it means communicating with, and potentially meeting, people you do not know. Please take that seriously.

  • Meet in public and stay in public for a first meeting. Arrange your own transport to and from the meeting so you are not dependent on someone you just met.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back.
  • Protect your personal information. Do not share your home address, financial details, or workplace until you know and trust someone. Never send money to someone you have met on Ayma.
  • We do not verify users. Ayma does not run criminal background checks, identity checks, or reference checks on anyone, and we cannot confirm that a person is who they claim to be or that their photos, statements, age, or intentions are genuine. The AI analysis Ayma performs is on the account holder only and is not a check on the people you match with.
  • You assume the risk of in-person contact. Any decision to communicate with or meet another user is yours. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ayma is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline, or for any loss, injury, or harm that results from your interactions with other users.
  • Report and block. If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the in-app block and reporting tools (the feedback tool, or the report option in a conversation). Reports help us, but we cannot promise a particular outcome or a specific timeframe. We may review reports, remove content, and suspend or close accounts, but we are not obligated to act on every report and we are not a law-enforcement or investigative body.
  • Emergencies are not us. If you are in immediate danger or a crime has been committed, contact your local emergency services or police. Ayma cannot send help.
  • Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. You do not owe anyone an explanation.

Your data

This section is a summary. The Privacy Policy has the full detail, including legal bases and how to exercise your rights.

What we collect

  • Account and sign-in identifiers (phone number, Google or Apple account identifier, Firebase user ID).
  • Profile information you provide (name, birthdate, photos, who you want to meet, the text of your story and profile).
  • Photos you upload or import, and the facial and physique analyses Ayma derives from them.
  • If you connect a Google account: recent Gmail subjects/senders (plus a small sample of message body text) and Calendar event titles, and the facts Ayma's AI distills from them (see "Connecting Google" above). Optional; off unless you connect.
  • Messages and direct messages you send, including images you attach.
  • Voice sessions with Ayma: audio and the text transcripts made from it.
  • Results of the web search Ayma runs on your name, and the working-memory ("wiki") notes built from your photos, messages, and that search.
  • Match scores and related signals Ayma computes about you.
  • Device and usage data, and a running ledger of your AI credit / token usage.
  • Approximate location, only if you choose to provide it.

Why we use it

  • To run the service: create your profile, power chat and voice, and store your content.
  • To suggest matches and compute match scores.
  • For safety: to investigate reports, enforce these Terms, and protect users.
  • To fix bugs and improve the product.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Who it is shared with

  • Service providers (subprocessors) who process data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting), Google Gemini / Vertex AI (the AI models that do the language, vision, and voice work), and LiveKit (real-time voice transport). They are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • Other users, but only to the extent your public profile and the messages you send expose information to them. Ayma does not show other users your private wiki notes or your derived analyses.
  • Legal and safety recipients: authorities or others where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to prevent serious harm.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Retention and deletion

  • You can delete your account in the app (Profile, then account settings). This removes your profile, photos, messages, voice transcripts, and derived analyses from our active systems.
  • Deletion has a short recovery window during which you can restore the account; after that it is permanent.
  • Backups age out on a rolling schedule, so a copy may persist in backups for a limited period after deletion.
  • We may keep a limited amount of data longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms (a "legal hold").

Your rights

You can access and export your data, correct your profile, and delete your account from within the app. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights; the Privacy Policy explains how to use them.

International transfers

Ayma and its service providers may process your data in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Children

Ayma is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Payments and credits

  • Some AI features cost credits — for example a deep dive, a match score, or a facial or physique report. Everyday browsing, chat, and voice are metered but are intended to stay usable without spending credits.
  • Your current balance, the price of each paid action, how to get more credits, and any refund rules are shown in the app (see the usage screen). Those details can change, and we will give notice in the app before a change that materially affects you.
  • Credits you have already spent are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or we choose to give one. Unused credits may expire if the app says so.
  • If you buy credits through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is also governed by the store's terms, and refunds for store purchases are handled by the store under its rules.
  • We do not guarantee that any particular feature will stay free, stay a given price, or remain available. We may add, change, or remove paid features.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Ayma changes. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give you notice in the app before it takes effect.

If you keep using Ayma after an update takes effect, that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with a change, stop using Ayma and, if you wish, delete your account.

Contact

The best way to reach us about these Terms, a safety concern, or a privacy request is the in-app feedback tool (Profile, then "Send feedback").
